This well-constructed yoga series will help you learn foundational yoga postures with each class building on each other. Students will be given to tools they need to develop their understanding of yoga. This Series will hold an emphasis on strengthening the lower back muscles for better posture. It is an ideal way to learn to stretch without creating or exacerbating back pain, and a chance to practice good alignment and movement patterns which will help protect the back from injury. This class will run every Saturday morning starting May 8 for 8 consecutive weeks.

Alicia had the rare experience of falling in love with yoga at first class. Though each pose felt more challenging than the next, the calming nature of the practice had her instantly hooked. After practicing for 10 years, Alicia became 200hr certified with YogaWorks, an alignment and safety focused training based out of New York and Los Angeles. She continues to study with YogaWorks and will have a completed 500 hours of training as of August 2013. Alicia is also certified with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a Holistic Nutrition Coach, specializing in women’s health. When she’s not spreading the message of health and happiness through yoga and eating well, she enjoys being outside, especially growing her organic garden, and spending time with her dog Ruby.
Alicia will be starting a 8-week Brand New to Yoga Series on Friday, April 19 from 5pm-6pm.

Our teacher K will be starting a new class on Thursday March 7th from 7:45pm-8:45pm.
This class is called Restorative and Meditation. During this class we invite you to slow down your yoga practice. We will use restorative yoga postures that will focus on bringing the body into a restful state and some Yin postures that will help the body move deeper through different areas of tension. After a series of these poses we will begin to explore different meditative techniques, such as yoga nidra. Practicing yoga and meditation consistantly helps to balance our energy levels - allowing for a more focused use of energy during the day and a deeper sleep at night.
This class begins right after Mixed Level Vinyasa.
